5 Signs You Need Acupuncture
You’re getting enough hours of sleep but you still feel tired
This could be because you’re not getting quality sleep. Maybe you’re restless or just not sleeping deeply. This also could mean that your body is run down and it is requiring more rest. Sleep is an important part of daily functioning because it is the time your body needs to take in order to recover and repair itself.
Feeling unmotivated and a little blue
Sometimes lack of motivation can almost feel like you’ve lost interest in things that normally keep your attention. When working out you suddenly just don’t feel like doing it anymore. You don’t feel like getting out of bed. Your energy feels stagnant and stuck.
Your aches and pains are not resolving on their own
After working out, rest and sleep are important for recovery, however, when you’re finding it hard to recover from workouts it means your body needs help with replenishing itself.
Feeling a little more easily irritated or anxious over things that don’t normally bother you
Maybe you feel on edge or jumpy. This is a sign that your nervous system is out of whack.
Your digestion is off
Maybe you’re not as consistent as you normally are or you’re feeling uncomfortable or bloated after eating. Your appetite is low or non-existent. This is an indicator that your digestion is having some trouble. It is always good to pay attention to digestion because this is how your body absorbs nutrients and gets rid of wastes in order for your body to function properly day to day.
These are all early signs that something is off balance. You should also examine any recent changes in your lifestyle, new foods, or routines, major life changes or new stressors etc that could have caused you’re being out of balance. Making adjustments accordingly will help with the process. Sometimes we write off the signals our bodies tell us because quite frankly, we are busy! But here is your reminder to pause and listen to yourself! Being a receiver of acupuncture is a great way to get into the habit of being more in tune with your body, mind and spirit.
